| Intermediate Fused Glass
You will gain a more in-depth understanding of fused glass and the various techniques in the creation of more complex pieces. You will learn about the following topics: safety, advanced fusing concepts, slumping, pate de verre, raking, working with powder, inclusions, trouble shooting, annealing, kiln profiles used, kilns, basic overview of cold working and what that means, dichroic discussion, hands on studio time and much more!
Includes all the glass , tools, supplies, kiln space, instruction, multiple handouts, use of studio equipment, and all the fun you can stand! You will take home at least 2 complex projects. You can choose from a picture or mirror frame, mosaic tile, small slumped dish, small basket weave platter, and small hanging vase.
Prerequisite: Beginning Fused Glass. You will also leave this class with technical proficiency and the knowledge to be able to critique glass art when you see it in galleries and shops.
This is an intensive 2 day class. Bring a sack lunch.
