Cold Working

Take your work to the next level in this 2-day class by learning to use many power tools including welt belt sander, disc grinder, sand blaster, tile saw, circular saw, bench grinder, hand lapping and more.  This class will go over safety in the cold shop and projects include a coaster, trivet, small pattern bar, murrini rods, etc.  You will learn to cut, carve, polish, sandblast, hand lap and more.  If you have rubber boots, please bring them.  Aprons will be provided.  Class size is limited to 6 people max.  Expect to work hard, have fun and take home a work of art you will be proud of! 

Do you feel confident with the basics of cold working, but need refreshers on some techniques and equipment?  Take your coldworking to the next level and give your glass work a new look.  Bring your own pieces that need to be coldworked and we will discuss various finishing options as well as the most efficient ways to achieve the results you want.

Prerequisite: Beginning Fused Glass.  Bring a sack lunch.
