Beginning Fused Glass

You will gain an overall understanding of fused glass and the various techniques in the creation of basic pieces.  You will learn about the following topics: safety, basic fusing concepts, different kinds of glass, hand tools we will be using, kiln profiles used, kilns, basic overview of coldworking and what that means, dichroic discussion, hands on studio time and much more!

Includes all the glass , tools, supplies, kiln space, instruction, multiple handouts, use of studio equipment, and all the fun you can stand!  You will take home at least 3 different projects.  You can choose from a pendant, nightlight, candle holder, sun catcher or coaster.

No previous experience needed.  You will leave this class with technical proficiency and the knowledge to be able to critique glass art when you see it in galleries and shops.

This is an intensive 2 day class.  Bring a sack lunch.
